I am so excited to get to show you the packaging and branding for Marquel Dodson Photography! A few months ago we launched Marquel's new website,www.marqueldodson.com, and then, to make her branding complete, started the task of designing her Welcome Packet and Product Packaging. All the amazing photos I'm going to show you are courtesy of Marquel Dodson Photography.
I love stamps and knew I wanted to incorporate them into her packaging design. During one of our brainstorming, coffee drinking sessions, we came up with her tagline, "Uniquely You" and I knew that needed to be one of the stamps. Marquel already had existing business cards with a big "Q" on them, so we decided to incorporate that as the second stamp design. I had the stamps made at www.rubberstamps.net and they turned out great! Just a note though, if you ever order from them, the wooden handles don't just come with the stamps so be sure to add them on!
The front of each Welcome Packet is stamped with the "Uniquely You" stamp and wrapped with twine around the binding.
Inside Marquel had a lot of information to fit into a small space! The left hand side includes cards with information about who her stylists are, session packages and print pricing along with her business card attached to the folder, and the right hand side is a Session Guide.
The Session Guide shows a bunch of ideas for styles/locations/props on the front of the cards and on the back clients can read through tips to help make their session a success.
Finally, to finish things off, once her clients purchase a print package they will receive a box full of goodies.
The outside of the boxes once again make use of her "Uniquely You" stamp, are wrapped with twine, and have a couple of mini cards attached.
I designed a variety of mini cards for Marquel to use with her packaging. They were printed at moo.com. I can't say enough about how much I love MOO!!!
Each box is full of goodies inside! A thank you card, a card with information about caring for your art, a yummy chocolate bar (this was all Marquel's idea!), a canvas bag stamped with her "Q" stamp and filled with a USB flash drive, referral cards and a few complementary wallets of one of Marquel's favorite shots from the session.
I had such a great time working on this project with Marquel! She has amazing photography skills and I hope you will take the time to visit her website and check out some of her work,www.marqueldodson.com.
